Joey Stylez is a well-known name in Indigenous communities as well as with the larger public across Canada and internationally. His Song Indian Girl Driving Me Crazy picked up the best Pop Music Video award at the 2022 Native American Music Awards. His music was recently played on the popular Reservation Dogs and Mayor of Kingstown TV shows. Joey’s music has been
featured in the Hollywood movie Wind River that delves into the issue of missing and murdered Indigenous women. He has appeared as himself on Kevin Costner and Taylor Sheridan’s Yellowstone television series on Paramount Television and his song Save Your Soul was featured in the opening episode of the explosive hit series. With online streaming in the tens of millions and collaborations with big names such as Dragonette, Bun B & Ty Dolla $ign, he has showcased his talents to the delight of his fans. Joey overcame a troubled past and gained a respectable following while inspiring a generation of Canadian musicians and was recognized by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) as one of the top 25 Canadian rappers of all time. Stylez has opened for artists such as Snoop Dogg, 50 Cent and Billy Ray Cyrus. His catalogue has tracks with the likes of Grammy Award winning producer James Ho (Malay). Stylez is committed to giving back to the fans, families and communities that have supported him along the way. He conducts workshops where he tells his story to youth to inspire and guide them through some of the pitfalls of life and he lives a healthy lifestyle, practicing balance of the mind, body and spirit. Joey continues to tour widely and grow as an international artist. His Ble$$ed Street Studios has a roster of Indigenous artists whom he mentors and develops as musicians.
